The KGA community celebrates student design work, individual passions and collaboration at annual keystone events throughout the school year like the Giving Thanks Parade and School Maker Faire. As a technologically-driven campus, the KGA community of administrators, teachers and parents endeavor to provide students with genuine personal, local, and global audiences. KGA students are empowered to ask questions, question answers, and innovate solutions. Teams provide individualized feedback through comprehensive progress narratives showcasing student growth in future ready skills. The team teaching model invites ongoing dialogue, reflection, and feedback about our students and instructional practices. Our faculty is motivated to provide authentic and culturally-rich experiences for our students, make connections as a school-wide community, and research and share best practices locally and nationally. KGA teachers are skilled in identifying and meeting the academic, social, and emotional needs of gifted students. As part of the Chandler Unified School District, students at KGA thrive in the open-walled, team teaching instructional model that focuses on design thinking, integrated curriculum, and Maker Education through a problem-based lens. With more than 700 K-6 gifted students, our vision is to enhance their lives through our core values: seeing the possibilities, acting with empathy, and succeeding as a KGA team. Knox Gifted Academy (KGA) is a public school for gifted learners.
